Hey guys!

Brand new to this forum. I have been reading threads for a while now. Looked up a bunch of different NB diagrams and read the user manual so I hope my diagram is ok!
This will be my first custom saber so I figured I'd go with the NB and not too many bells and whistles.

I did not calculate the resistor's values yet because I am still figuring out what to do for the battery (I live in Canada so I believe my options are 1. get one FedEx to me rather than UPS who cant ship them or 2. Get a battery mount from tcss and buy the battery from a local store). The accent LEDs will go into my crystal chamber!

Anyways, here is my diagram (if you can, please make sure it works with the parts list below) :
9992

Here are the parts:
Nano Biscotte V.2

Premium 28mm Speaker

Rebel Star LED & MHS Heatsink (blue)

MWS Short Momentary 16mm AV Switch - Nickel

MWS Recharge Port
http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MWS-Recharge-Port-P877.aspx

Battery (not sure yet)

Accent LEDs (not sure yet)
Maybe I can get these at a local store. Can anyone tell me if they would work nicely for my crystal chamber? (20mA)

ALL INPUT WELCOMED :)

Summary of questions:
1. Is my diagram correct?
2. Did I wire my accent LEDs correctly and would it work well for my crystal chamber?
3. Are there any changes I could make to make my wiring more efficient or to make my design better?
4. Would the LEDs above work well and be bright enough for my crystal chamber?

Thank you so much!

Welcome to the Forums!

To answer your questions:

1. It looks good - my only concern is the recharge port (though it could just be the drawing of wires). Make sure you follor the diagram in the manual carefully.
2. Yes.
3. This would really depend on the saber design.
4. They should. It all depends on how you install them.

Thanks FJK!

I like an hour from the border so I decided I will get everything shipped to the states and pick it up there. Which means I can get the 18650 battery at 3.7v.
I just bought my blue LEDs and they are 20mA. They do not show the voltage but one of the review says its 3.6v.
So according to this calculator http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz I need a 5.6 ohms 1/8w resistor.
According to the tcss resistor chart, choosing the Accent LED 1 option with 3.7v says I need a 82ohm 1/4w resistor.

I have no idea what to get. Can anyone help?

Also can anyone confirm if the recharge port is ok or not considering it was one of FJK's concerns?

An 82 Ohm 1/4 W resistor will be fine for your accent LEDs.

Regarding the recharge port, you need to provide a clearer drawing (of just that part - showing the 3 solder tabs & wiring) to show that YOU know how it's suppose to be wired. I KNOW how it gets wired, but you're the one who has to do it (preferably the right way). ;)

Thanks!
And yes I am definitely not asking for anyone to do the work for me ;)
I think I know how to wire it with the 3 tabs, but the thing is, the only option in the store is the MWS recharge port with the 2 JST connectors (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MWS-Recharge-Port-P877.aspx).
Which is why I have it drawn like that. The red would be the JST connector. One of them goes to the battery JST connector and the other is goes the the NB.
I found a picture showing what I wanted to do with the battery and recharge port.

As long as you are using the pre-wired stuff, you'll be fine, as long as you know what goes where. Most people do it themselves, so I always try to make sure they get it right the first time around.
