Hey guys,

I've got everything prepped for a build for my dad, but I'm stumped by the board I'm using. I've wired a handful of MR/Hasbro boards, but this may be an older one and I haven't seen it before. 9785

It resembles and MR Luke with some differences. Orange and red in upper left are battery positives, trio of orange, red and brown on left are sensor, green and yellow center top are speaker, rainbow arrangement on right are led positive and negatives, single brown on bottom is battery negative, and four wires in bottom left are switch.

My questions are how do I arrange the four switch wires to work properly with a spst latching switch, and which of the rainbow wires is the led positive? Is it the bottom, dark blue one?

Thank you for any assistance you can offer!

1) my hasbro doesn't use a latching switch. might want to check that. did you record how they were attached to the switch?
2) I see 7 wires for 3 (?) LEDs or was this a string blade? You should be able to trace the wires back to the LEDs and identify which side of the LED they went to (see illustration LED (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:LED,_5mm,_green_(en).svg))

MTFBWYIf memory serves, this particular board requires a latching DPDT switch to use it in a custom saber. There is a diagram around here somewhere that shows how to wire it to one of the lacthing DPDT switches that are currently on closeout in the store. The rest of the wiring is identical to the MR Mace Windu board wiring: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?994-05-MR-Mace-Windu-Done-amp-kits-available

EDIT:
I believe this is the diagram i remembered seeing for these types of boards:

It comes from this topic where there is more discussion: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?11171-Switch-Wiring-Diagram-for-MR-board-with-4-wire-switch
