What material is the hilts from TCSS made of?

I am considering to use a 7" extension as body but is probably going to use a lathe to do some modifications on it. Before I do that I need to know what material that the extensions (and other hilt-parts) are made of. Is it (stainless) steel or aluminium?

MHS parts are all made from aluminum.

Well, a couple things are brass, but they specify that in their description.
