I get some really interesting questions but this one has to be the best. This was asked by someone on how to make the saber light up.

How do you make it in the ignighted form (does it have to be under a black light or something)?

Post any really good questions you have heard or been asked here it could be interesting :)

Corbin's FAQ at the end of his saber guide... all of them real and priceless.

If I ever decide to make sabers for sale I'm not sure how I'd deal with them. In all fairness that's not that bad... neon/flourescent tubes have been used before.

my brother asked this one

how do you take the blade of the lightsaber - this was when i only had stock MRs

That's not that bad either... that's a common question for anyone that sees them.

Something like: "Does it cut?" Makes me

Proper responce is "Yes, that's why it has the plastic blade. That's to prevent me from cutting your arm off."

The bad part on the question I posted is that the description clearly stated led.

But I forget some people look at the pictures and just laugh at the words.

Good one year topic there Do-Clo.

"That sure is a pretty lightsaber you made there, I give ya 20 bucks for it.?"
Needless to say after I tell them the electronics alone is typically more then 20 bucks they piss off.

"Should I remove this tape that says"remove after opening"?"
Yes, I put a piece of painter's tape on the switch so it doesn't move.

I don't think I have quite as many good ones as Corbin but this one is my all time favorite...

"If I hit someone with this thing will it hurt?"
Only if you get your thumbs or fingers in the way.

"Will this really cut anything?"

"What should I use to sharpen the blade?"

Not so much a question as an action - looking into an LED-powered hilt (with blade off) and turning it on., even AFTER I have repeatedly and clearly explained and described how the (LED) saber is built.

I do that all the time...

I judge the battery life by how much it hurts.

And no I don't recomend that way of doing it. http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_shake.gif

Firebird has a really nice camera so he probably intentionally made it so you could see the LED instead of a RED picture.

Ok here is yet another funny one.

Many of you know that the company I worked for closed. I have my resume posted around and with the work force alliance and I got a call today about my resume. The girl stated that she was very impressed with my credentials and wanted to talk to me about a possible job, (now here is the the funny part) She wanted me to join the Army. I am 47 years old and they want me to join the army, I almost fell out of my chair laughing.

xwingband
11-06-2006, 04:19 PM
I guess that's the difference there... "work for" and "join" the army.

I brought my Luke to church Sunday to show some interested people and everyone that saw it and didn't know what it was ether didn't know how to turn it on or held it upside down.

I kept saying, "Good thing it's not real!"

bubbletape kicks major booty! the case i mean lol, i am going to make an alumminum one.

oh yea a stupid and a really retarded question i was asked was on halloween when i took my saber to skewl. my friends were like how do you turn it on, and the night before i had taped a sign on it that said press this button, with an arrow pointing to it, they were still stupid enough to not know.
