I'm new to the led thing so what is the difference, if any, between the led blades here and the ones that this guy is selling. He never says. He just claims they are better. http://www.saberology.com/

i think he's mainly talking bout his hilts not the blades itself. about the only differences in blades is the diffusers and reflective stuff they use inside them. and maybe the wall thickness too. tim here, only sells the thicker wall stuff. myself im waiting for his diffusers to come in so i can swap out corbins film for it, and see if it works better than the film does.

And I claim mine are better than his. And Ultra can claim his are better than mine. And Corbin can claim his are better than Ultra's. And so on. It's all in the PR. Call it a "crystal core", put a Luxeon lens in the blade and claim yours is identical to saberology. Oh, wait, that's not just a claim...[:D]

LAN-ED-TUL, no, the claim is about the blade. I saw the notes on an auction where he compares his blades to "regular" Luxeon blades. Bull!

Yall notice he's using pics of my blades in his auctions and calling them his? Ooops, I guess my blades are just as good, eh?

Yeah, he claims it was an accident using UltraSWG's images and I'll give him the benfit of the doubt. His blades are just like any other LED blades I will never buy from him because it's too expensive. His hilts are great but the blades are really nothing special.

Yeah, it was an accident, but he's still using them because he can't change the pics he uploaded to ebay. If it were me, and I was infringing on copyrights, using someone else's products to represent my own, and misleading my customers in the process, I would have cancelled my auction and relisted them properly. But that's just me.

But my main point was, if his blades were so different than everyone elses, he would have noticed right away that the pics he were using were mine and not his. Isn't that logical?

Guess he'll be claiming Ultra's kids as his own too. LOL

Its easy to change picks on eBay. I cant imagine why anyone would use someone else's pictures to sell there stuff.

Thats messed up. I actually thought that his hilts were kinda lame. This guys are just out there http://alw.180.net/index.asp $900 for a double saber [:0] They are nice but weird. If you read the books most of his are what I would imagine combining Vong technology and jedi technology would result in. Or something the Tahiri would carry

Those two work together. They haven't combined sites but they work for with each other now.

"Same blade in room lit by one 135 watt bulb"

lol, I'm not a huge fan of EL, but come on... I don't think a Luxeon blade would fair much better under a 135 watt bulb.

So lemme get this straight: there's NO difference between these guys' blades and Tim's?

JediSaberSmith

Its my understanding that the saberology guy uses 3/4" blades while TCSS are 1".

Yeah, they use 3/4" blades, but the tech is no different.

I have a three way bulb in my room that goes up to 150W. It will blind a person. He's being ridiculous with his claims. I just plain don't like how this guy does his business.

Really they're the same? They look way brighter in the pics at Advanced-light weaponry. Those pics were taken with 3/4" blades which according to Corbin(?) are usually dimmer.

He claims that next summer he is going to "revolutionize" the saber world and the lighting world in general with his new blades. I really dislike when people over hype their products, but I'll reserve judgment till summer.

But in the mean time, his current blades are pretty much the same as Corbin's blade film blades which have been around for a long time.

I know him and have seen his personal blade in actual Parking Lot Dueling use, The pro's are his blades are incredibly flexible and completely unbreakable, I have seen him bend and flex them like a fencing foil. He also tapers it and it has a reflective film inside to more evenly distribute the Light to make it more screen accurate. Con: $300.00 per Saber 0r more for that amount I could build a set of them and invite a friend to play.[;)]

Am I the only one who hates the super flexible blade? It looks nothing like the real saber when you are dueling with it, plus when dueling it feels like it is going to break. I'll stick with the 1 oc 1/8th walled PC thank you.

The flex is the reason I'm thinking about abandoning my current el project and just converting a Master Replicas or lathing a custom hilt for led.

There are those who call me Piemaster

the el is nice butyou have to keep the blade short so it wont flex alot

I use the same polyC as everyone else, really. I currently use both Tim's diffuser and Corbin's film in my blades (both work great, just depends on if you like the beam look or the glow stick look). The only thing really different are the optics I use. Most of yall still use collminating lenses while I use mirrored reflectors.

Oh, and don't talk about ordering from me while you're on TCSS's forum, lol.
