Hi all,
I'm a sewer not techie. But I'd love to have a nice Darth Talon light saber for an upcoming cosplay, and feel like I'd be able to follow instructions on how to assemble and wire something. Problem is, her hilt is an organic look. I feel like whatever I go with, I'm going to have to sculpt something over top of a plain metal hilt to make it look like her saber. Here's an example:

I have no clue where to start at all (have read the four year old tutorial), and would love some advice before I drop some cash into the project.
