Hello everyone, my name is Steve and I have been crawling around here on the boards researching and decided to go ahead and make a saber. For my first attempt I decided to go mostly with typical hardware store items, PVC, Lexan, drain tube, epoxy putty, etc...so far it is coming along well. I picked up a 1.25LED blade holder and went to town pretty much making it up as go. I wanted the Dooku style curved hilt just because I like the style and I am about 75% done. I plan to go with the Seoul P4 green and NB sound card. My next step is to order a few items and start painting. My design features a curved hilt, and vertical illuminated crystal with one end exposed. It also sports a Lexan emitter (looking for an illuminated ring effect) with slots through the blade holder. I think it is turning out well for a first try. I will post more pics. as I go.

Steve

Interesting design. It could be a great looking saber when it's finished. I'm looking forward to seeing the paint job you get on that.

Thank you sir. I have a little more detail work to do before I start painting. The trouble is I have to almost force myself to stop wanting to add/change more to it as I go. Is it because I am new that my images only show as links in the post? I have been searching for information on posting images to see if there are any restrictions or if I have just not done something right. Forums are something that wreak havoc with my brain sometimes until I figure them out.

You just posted the attachments incorrectly. I nearly always post links to my photobucket acct, so I'm not quite sure how to help you.

Your best bet is to make a new post, try things out, and use the "preview" button until you get the images to show up properly.

Once you upload the pics in Photobucket, copy the IMG thumb link and paste it in your reply. This should show you picture.

Very cool hilt. I like the curved designs myself, and this is a very unique piece. Watching.

Thank you very much! I just ordered the switch and charging port. Once I have those installed all the Dremel work will be done and I will start the painting process.
