PVC hilts

I ran jedi camp and it was great. The next thing I want to do next year is to build and wire up lightsabers.

Since using all mhs parts would be really expensive, I was looking into a pvc alternative so that the kids would be able to take them home. Has anyone found a good way to wed mhs pommels to pvc happily? If so, what size?

I've never found a size of PVC that matches up to MHS without modifications. http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?3266-Jay-gon-s-PVC-Hilts-Full-tutorial-on-last-page has a great tutorial for building PVC sabers. Go to the last page of the thread and Jay-Gon gives you a full walkthrough of what's involved in making a simple PVC saber.
