Cheaper just to get one of these.........shipping will kill ya on Ebay......

The cummins is the best bang for the buck......and you can get a Micro lathe cheaper.....but only if u want to assemble your saber in like 1-2" sections.....

Tim started out with the same Cummins lathe....that is one of the contributing factor of me buying one.....it is a good lathe....thought all of those are manufactured in the same factories in Asia. For a home lathe thought they are friggin awesome.....

I believe that is the same one JSS has.

I may live off-campus next year and my situation will change. I'd love to have a lathe.

Like he said a micro lathe could be had for cheaper but you wouldn't be able to machine a whole hilt in one piece.

actually thats fine see i want to make custom lathed sabers but still be mhs style and the same size if tim doesnt mind so that way i could buy some of his parts and adapt them to my custom mhs parts to build a custom saber.

from what i know craftsman does not sell lathes of any kind. i havent seen any lathes including mini's and micro's on craftsmans website or in any sears store whatsoever.
