Hey everyone first of all just browsing the forums I marvel at the skills you all posses. I am what you would call a complete and utter noob to the saber building scenes with little to no wiring experience. Well anyway im looking at constructing my first saber here is a quick screenshot of my ugly idea lol any suggestions tips would be appreciated.

We all have to start somewhere. Don't worry about it, just take your time and read the forums for a while. Pay special attention to all the stickied posts. You'll find a ton of information in them.

that is a nice design. I just finished my first saber 5/3/13 and have found that the hardest part it figuring out what you need as long as you do you research on how to wire everything together it is supper easy

Thanks I appreciate it trying to keep the initial cost down so may hold off on the powder coating and paint the individual parts myself.

Welcome tot he forums, best tip I can give is to read up on the stickys and to practice soldiering on scrap pieces of wire again and again before working on your saber as scrap wire is cheap, saber electronics are not.

welcome..don't panic if you feel your wallet getting lighter,it's just your hard earned savings evaporating away!.that being said i would follow the rest of the advice given by the other smiths on here and just go for it!
