MadCow's "Korriban" soundfont purchased at Saberfont.com
100% MHS based parts

This is a very personal saber for me. This marks my first MHS custom piece, and my first foray into Plecterlab products with custom soundfonts. Considering that I have only worked with MR soundboards, this was a huge jump for me. I am quite pleased to share the results. The parts are simply painted and sanded for a weathered look. The shroud is cut with a dremel, hacksaw, and files (e57 style) and inspired by the works of Vader's Vault, but I did something a bit more simple to suit my skill level. This also marks my first chassis. I went with black PVC to keep my costs low, with mixed results. I probably won't use it again in the future, as it warps easily and flakes considerably. Anyway, on with the show.

A very special thanks to everyone who advised me during the build and to everyone in this community. I couldn't have done it without you.

Sorry, totally forgot to take a pic of the other side!

Here is the placement of the recharge port and switches. On a side note the recharge port was pretty much flush with the edge ofthe saber, so the back of a work issued pin was glued to the back to make it easier to grab.

Oooo nicely done Ty! I've been wanting to do a dual-shroud saber like this with a very similar design, but you beat me to it fair and square and did a killer job with it too! :)
Wondering the same thing as DarthMarr - where are the switches located?
Edit: saw that you answered this while i was typing

Very nice work, especially with that shroud piece.

Looks pretty good, definitely see the VV influence. :)

I think the rounded portions of the shrouds could use more work though. Some files and sandpaper could fix that in an hour or so.

Otherwise, solid job on your first saber.

Yeah, to be perfectly honest, that portion of the shroud was a pain, and I know I rushed it. I will definitely touch it up.

Sick saber. Definitely reminds me of Starkiller/ Dark Ahsoka possibly type saber. Any Sith would be proud to have you as their apprentice.

I really love the Ahsoka influence (and the fact that you give respect out to VV for the inspiration is class!)... Yeah I see it, BUT I also see something totally custom, totally yours, and may I just say "totally badazz!". You did your thing on this one, it's flow is terrific... The pommel adds some girth to really balance it out (front to back)... Bet it looks awesome on a belt and even non sw guys can tell.. yep.. thats a weapon boy! (really from a design standpoint to overall execution thats job well done)

As others have said you can almost never spend to much time with the files but what youve got done is terrific (like they said 20min-1hour your in the golden range!)

Anyway great build, thanks so much for sharing!

Amazing job on this Ty! You have definitely upped your game for sure. You did a real nice job on the shroud work too. I agree it definitely has an Ahsoka Tano feel to it. Truly something to be proud of amigo!!
