Hi, i have a 07 Hasbro ForceFX running on 3xAAA with its stock battery holder.
I'm planning on doing a luxeon conversion with a buckpuck, and i was thinking
of changing the batteryholder for a 4xAA instead.

My question is: Can the original soundboard take the increased
power or is there another more preferable power-"change"?

I feel that since i will have a luxeon on it
3xAAA will not last very long.

I'm using standard 1,5V batteries and is planning och
doing so with the batterypack-mod too.

I would go with the 4AA, but go with rechargeable. That will put you at 4.8v, Hasbro like that ! Not much more though. Also drop the puck, Force Fx generate enough current for a single Lux. Just wire it off the board. Follow the wiring diagrams posted on these forums for your particular board.

So you are sure no buckpuck is needed? I don't want to risk frying the LED..
I was thinking about ordering this along with the conversion kit:http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Build-Your-Own-Seoul-P4-Electronics-Kit-P469.aspx

Then i have everything i need i guess, what do you think?

There is always a chance, simply depends on what led your using. All you need to do is determine the correct resistor though.
