If there is a item you would like to see me stock you can post it here. Please keep all posts on topic.

Dont ask for us to restock items (of course we are going to restock a item or we would remove it from the store)

If you are suggesting a new blade holder, etc there will be a much greater chance of it getting selected if you provide a pic/drawing.

Square metal grips with slightly rounded edge, Starkiller style, secured to the hilts with small screws, not pre-drilled.

Also a service for drilling those holes.

Kill plug style 2 with knurled edge. (So it would look kind of like a guitar knob.)

Anodized kill plugs.

Some more flange emitters would be nice. I'm thinking Revan or Nihilus style. Then one, where the top of the emitter curves kinda up like the Qui-gon themed holder, but with a coil design under the flange.

Considering how many sabers pulled double-duty during Episode II, I'd like to see some more parts to make those. Like a blade-holder and pommel to match Aayla Secura's/ Ki Adi Mundi's/ Anakin's borrowed lightsabers (as seen here (http://www.thesabervault.com/files/Mundi_side.jpg) or here (http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/4/4a/Lightsaber_mundi.jpg)), and a separate blade-holder/ pommel set to match the Shaak Ti/ Adi Gallia/ Bultar Swan type lightsaber (as seen here (http://jdpilotlightsaberpics.homestead.com/files/Gallia_side4.jpg) or here (http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2095/2490439079_557518a409_z.jpg?zz=1)). It does look like a type-8 pommel could be slightly modified to fill that last role pretty easily, though. Really, it's the Secura-Mundi-Anakin set I'd love to have.

perhaps copper as well? ; )

and do we have "plugs" for the RICE ports yet? maybe machine some that look like the diodes on Obi-Wan's graflex clamp? you know, the greeblies (ANH and/or ROTS type). could be cool to have a RICE port next to a recharge port, each with the proper greeblie for a nice looking build, and serving a function at the same time.

just a thought.

and since you had the red button and glass eye screws, repro graflex clamps would be amazing. seems nobody can find these anymore?
maybe that last one would be better for the TCSS store "DREAM" list lol along with accurate neck emitters/chokes ; )

Maybe some more sink tube support? i.e. grips/shroud materials with the proper sizes. If there was more of that, silhouette variation could be a lot more interesting with MHS and sink tube combos!
Also, I haven't managed to find any, but would it be possible to perhaps get a AAA battery pack that has them running two pairs lengthwise, like the AA battery holder here? http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/4AA-Battery-holder--P134.aspx

Darth Sidious inspired parts would be awesome toohttp://www.rebelscum.com/mr/mr-sidious-rots-le-19.jpg. last thing would be a sliding activation button.(where you slide the button or switch up and down just in case the wasn't clear) anyway you guys are awesome and I hope you put some of this stuff up. thanks!

I can only think of two things I'd like: (1) the Nano Biscotte in the MHS builder, and (2) an activator box in the same style as box 16, but for two of those switches. That would save a ton of room in for future builds, not to mention allowing shorter-style sabers to be built.

Yoshi-Taka
01-17-2014, 12:53 PM

I've always liked the rounded angled shape of activation box 4 but have wished it could mount 2 switches instead of only 1 for use with 2-switch soundboards like Petit Crouton. Now that it has been announced that 12mm AV switches will soon be added to the TCSS store I'm wondering if a variation on activation box 4 or a design with a similar shape could be made that could fit 2x 12mm AV switches with a mounting screw in between?

I'd also love to see a brass version of box 17, and would like to second the suggestion of brass MHS sleeve material...that would be an awesome addition imo.

Yoshi-Taka
03-10-2014, 09:12 AM
I would love to see an activator box in the style of Activator Box 3, but with a recharge port in addition to the two AV switches. It'd be a bit longer but it would make building PC sabers with symmetry easier for me. I figure if Activator Box 11 can be done, why not have Box 3 in a similar style?

Yoshi-Taka
04-01-2014, 09:49 AM
I'd like more expansions on Box Style 16. For example, a box in that style for two switches, or a switch and recharge port.
Perhaps a box in the style of Box 14, but with two small switches instead of AV switch.

Darth Sidious blade holder and pommel please? This would be awesome for sure. :D I'm sure you could add the extra shrouds on the main saber body then. This could, potentially, be in the wrong thread but here goes nothing. I'd like to see something similar to Activation box style 19 with 2 holes for 20 21 switches instead of one hole for a momentary switch and one for a recharge port. If there is a thread to address custom requests, I missed it. My apologies in advance if this is misplaced and many thanks for any assistance.

Wish list item: a pommel insert with a detachable or unscrewable cap (two pieces), to provide external access to a recharge port , RICE port, or both. If I attach the port to the chassis, not the pommel insert, I need access through the pommel. I can leave the insert out, but having it covered looks better. Some way of removing the cover r otherwise accessing the port from the outside would be nice.

Would really like to have some chassis options for the ribbed extensions and some of the other smaller inner diameter parts. I know alot of people use them for main parts of their hilts. Would be nice to not have to modify existing or make custom chassis pieces. I know I would love to have a 14500 Long battery pack and buck puck holder that fit in the ribbed section. I have been struggling to find something that I can use for this. I found a site, I won't say which, that has a lot of chassis options. They make them from 1.24" down to .7". They look to be made with a 3d printer or some like it. Was wondering if TCSS has thought about doing something like this. It would give them some more options for chassis parts. If you want to know which site just PM me.

I would like to see a few mhsv1 to mhsv2 adapters. I 7 inch straight taper, double female; a 7 inch concave taper - say with a slight curve to reduce the diameter that goes about halfway down the extension then straight to the end; a 7 inch vase shaped adapter, starts at mhsv1, expands out about 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch (radius) in the first inch and then a shallow convex curve to taper down to MHSv2 at the other end. I'd also like to see some double mail connectors in the MHSv2 line and maybe a blank for each style of part for custom work.

I would like more button options. Non-illuminated latching AV switches for stunt saber purists. 16mm SPDT AV switches for sabers using more than one LED operating mode. Break/Kill switches for a "Trakata" effect.

Also, I second having more acrylic chassis disks that fit into ribbed sections with 1.1" diameter.

Lastly, some sort of double male threaded angular 2 inch section at a 150 or 135 degrees (obtuse). This would make a lot of curved saber fans happy.

I notice that all the JST connectors in the store are relatively huge.
I found some miniature ones locally in a hobby store which would be nice to see as an offer in here.
Example would be seen here (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9727__mini_plug_extention_for_micro_battery_10cm _5pcs_bag_.html) but shouldn't be taken as the best option for miniature connectors. Unless, that is the ones offered now are the smallest you can go for proper wire gauge. But, being low voltage, I expect that might not be a severe limitation. That's just a guess though.
And if even a smaller option could be found... great! Sabers are small on the inside, so the smaller the components we have to cram in there are, then the less stressed I will be.

I think it would be pretty cool if (seeing as etching is rather popular) TCSS had a custom etch resist service. I know there are those who (like myself) have friends who can print out vinyl resists, but I think it would be really awesome if others had better access to that sort of service.
In summary, it would be cool if TCSS made vinyl resists for those who would like to etch their sabers.

I want to see extensions that have the milling of the main bodys #2-4. Would be nice to have more than just smooth and fluted extenaions with 1.25" id. also nice to have them in the 3-5" sizes. I don't think smaller than that would be necessary. But I could put a 4" one to use right now.

I don't know if this has been put up here yet but it would be cool if there was a beginner's crystal chamber kit. Comes with 30 pieces to mix and match like Lego with a few crystals to put together something cool. Pieces of acrylic, brass, copper, and aluminum. I would really like to see that. An acrylic or delrin chassis disc designed to mount the 20mm speaker could be very useful for certain applications e.g. reverse-sound or mid-hilt venting where the chassis rods need to continue past the speaker rather than the speaker being on one end of the chassis - the 2 hole to 3 hole adapter disc http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Acrylic-Chassis-Disc-2-hole-to-3-hole-adapter-S9-P773.aspx ALMOST fits and can be kinda 'kludged' with glue but a properly fitting 20mm speaker-mount disc could make for a 'cleaner' chassis.

How about a blue accent led? Unless there's no such thing. Would be a cool color addition. I have plans for a future CF build with those too but all we have so far is green, red, and yellow so plan so far is to use a green and yellow accent led. Maybe to try to find even more colors if possible?

I think a speaker mount like the v5 but with the lip at the other end, where the threaded 4-40 holes are would be useful. This would allow it to lock into the pommel end of a shorter saber and leave more room for battery and sound card.

Lame! Can it be modified to fit?

Switch 22 is a press fit switch. You don't need a ring for it of you drilled the right sized hole. I've never needed a support ring, and the switches I've installed are not going to easily come out on their own.

If you look up my Illustrious saber, I use a switch 22 in it. The ONLY way that is coming out is if I use a hammer and a set punch (which will destroy the switch). ;)

Not so much a hold order button but a way still order parts that you're going to be resupplying in a timely manner any way. Not looking for on demand fabrications or one off builds I know that cuts into bottom lines but if some one is looking for parts x,y,z and component w for y is out of stock they cant order y at all. Example: I've been waiting weeks to have enough spare cash on hand to order just the internals so I can get a basic stunt saber build started while waiting for MHS parts to be in stock. Was all set to place my $60 order till boom it's hobbled by a $1.00 thermal tape pad being out of stock... It's kind of a ball ache... I can't even go out and build a temp pvc body to test the internals all for the want of double sided thermal tape. If there was an option to still place my order any way and just wait the extra time for that $1.00 part to be in that you'll will be resupplying ASAP any way.

Not trying to be a pain or revisit anything that might have already been handled but just the little things add up and it's frustrating to have such a small issue cripple a build. After all the main store page says that most orders take two days to ship but items that need to be made or machined will take up to two weeks but we can't even order things to be made only what has already been made...

Dual speaker holder! I just built a saber with a premium and bass speaker, and while it isn't any louder, the range of sound is much fuller! I've rigged a set up to make it work for now, but it would be so much better to have a "naturally fitting" speaker holder. So far I've found that it works best when the speakers are back-to-back.

Please make a Motorola D Clip machined button so the sabers can be worn on belt clips that use that system. This would be a better option then the covertec clip system because it allows for 1) use in a wide variety of extremely durable and professional looking belt clips, 2) one handed drawing and holstering, 3) a locking system that requires the saber to be in the correct orientation to be withdrawn from the belt clip and 4) the saber to swing naturally at the connection point when being worn. This is also the same system used by police and emergency responders to attach their radios to their belts.

I was able to modify a covertec button and one example of a belt clip I purchased on amazon for 10 dollars, using a dremel, but the result is less then refined. You can see pictures of the result down below:

An aluminum adapter for the 20.0 7/8" blade holders to the MHS chassis disc system. It could either butt up against the LED holder inside the BH or incorporate the LED holder. All held in with a set screw.

I get that the chassis discs are smaller than the ID of the 2.0 hilts, but then you have room to put a skin to make killer full reveal chassis. You could even sell the right diameter and thickness of brass or aluminum tube to be cut out and etched for the chassis skin.

Oh and MHS disc compatible crystal chamber fins.

I do not think you need to make entire chambers, but one of the hardest things for folks with minimal tools to make are the fins. It seems that once someone with the proper machine has a solid design or three they could cut them out by the hundreds.

Tim and company:

You do amazing work, and I can't believe that the hobby would be as advanced as it is if you hadn't had the foresight to open this shop.

I love that you're bringing back the v2 line. I have a few v2 hilts I'm building, still in the design stages, but I'll buy the v2 line as long as you all stock it.

With that in mind, I wonder if you have any switch boxes or clamps in mind for the v2 line? I rarely if ever include a box or clamp on sabers I build because, as someone who prefers small-OD hilts anyway, the bulk of a switch box was aggravating even if visually appealing. I don't have that issue with the v2 line and hope that you'll put out a couple of simple boxes or blanks for the v2 line.

Regardless of your decision, I'll continue to enjoy following your shop's progress, as always.

Rubber grips in the style of extension DF4GRNS as formed by the grooves. Flat but raised with angled sides and a slighty rounded top to follow the curve of the hilt. Simple yet stylish and a little more comfortable to hold than the normal grips.

Non-illuminated latching AV switch

Plain blade plug. Just a flat top, maybe a circular groove or two. Nothing fancy, just something to give it that static prop feel when not in use.

I was thinking that a blade holder/emitter based off of style 24 without the multiple levels of rings to attach to the main body. Maybe just a straight 0.5 inch or so section before the threading starts. It would create a more solid look and possibly make it easier to install the blade retention screw. Or you could use the look of the Short Choke Style 1 and have a single "grip" area closer to the main body. I plan to use the BH24 in my current build and have been looking at it closely. Just a thought!

I’m not questioning your request, but you said you were looking at BH 24.
The shop pictures don’t show the BH 24 too well. The MHS builder does.
I’ve used BH 24 on my son’s saber, and I had the retention screw (8-23) place in the lower ring (closer to the hilt).
I’ve used this saber to perform the “tree trunk test” (full on whopping a tree, with a 1/8” walled 1” blade in my case) without any issues from the screw placement.

Here are some pics in case you wanted to see where I placed the screw.

Thin neck that comes with the saber is plastic with no space for a blade or wires to run through it. I could model something up and send it in to you all but I am not a machinist. Maybe someone else could benefit from this being a thing. Thirded!

Edit:
Also would like to see if we can get acrylic chassis discs that simply hold a 21700 cell, centered or off set for wire clearance in the disc.

That might be a stretch (literally). You may be better off with the 3D printed chassis with the removable battery for that.
