View Full Version : Super Glueing a Recharge Port?

So I'm building a PVC saber for a friend (a late Christmas Present) and I ended up needing to install a recharge port. I have the hole drilled and I can get it in, but it only mounts flush with the exterior. I could dremel some of the inside out and see if I can get it in far enough to slip one the bolt, but would there be any negative consequences of wiring it all up and then super glueing it in? I'm guessing that aside from not being able to get it out, there wouldn't be. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

bad idea. Recharge ports are the #1 component to fail in sabers. I would make it a recessed port Jay-Gon style. You can find out how to do it by researching some of Jay-Gon's build threads.

Thanks LDM, that's really good to know. I actually managed to get it to fit by sanding some of the inside down. I'll have to upload a picture later! :)

Cool. Glad you got it sorted.
