Alright, so after many months of tinkering I think I am finally at a point where I can call this thing about 95% finished. I'd like to switch the button head screws out for brass and find a piece of brass to replace the red button on the graflex thumb screw and a few other little things. But this is it for now. It features a Petit Crouton mounted on top of a 14650 battery pack and a Rebel amber LED. I've got a color change led in the crystal chamber along with a 5mm amber and the crystal is also back lit from the main blade LED. SD card and R.I.C.E port accessed by removing pommel. And of course the d-ring through the covertec knob idea was "borrowed" from Madcow's Jaina SOTJ saber. Thanks for checking it out, and hope you like it.

Was just watching this saber on youtube. I like the play on the starkiller idea, and nice crystal chamber.

Oh wow. very nicely done. I love how it does have a starkiller hint to it yet it is completely your own.

Totally agree with everyone else - awesome saber! This is a great take on the Starkiller saber, but is also completely unique. Color changing crystal chamber ... overlay/shroud ... weathering ... sweet! :)

how did u do that effect with the crystal housing? i wanted to do that for my first saber, but since it being my first saber build, maybe ill save that for my second build?

Thanks everyone for the compliments, I really appreciate all the positive feedback. It was a lot of fun to build and I've had a pretty hard time putting it down since I finished it. I've convinced my wife that our two year old son NEEDS his own lightsaber so that'll be next.

Its just pommel inserts and nylon washers with the accent leds stacked inside, it was easy enough, I say go for it. This was, aside from a sink tube saber and a handful of conversions, my first "real" saber. Just take your time and you should be able to pull it off.

I do like this saber. Nice to see some originallity in a Starkiller saber. and its loud too.

That's a lot to pack into one saber. The only feature it's missing is flash on clash. Nice job. I like colour changing chambers. I did one last summer. The only change I'd recommend is to swap the thumb screw on the underside to a glass eye screw. They can actually light up too if you can drill it out. Otherwise the current thumbscrew may be more appealing with a cup washer under it.

I do like this saber. Nice to see some originallity in a Starkiller saber. and its loud too. Thanks you, and yes it is loud, but not quite as loud as it seems, I think its just that I was shooting it while it was sitting on a large piece of glass and the camera is only about 10 to 12 inches away.

Thank you. I got the idea for the color change chamber from your Raxis Primal saber, which is still, I think, my all time favorite lightsaber. As for the thumbscrew it is something I'm looking to change although Im not sure with what yet, I'll give the cup washer idea a try.

I love the color change crystal chamber. Really accents the amber blade well IMO. Nice Job!!

Like everyone else said, awesome on hinting on Starkiller while making it your own! I'm curious on the bars in front of the crystal. Are they custom made from something?

I completely agree - this is well thought out and executed with that 'real work-a-day' light saber look. No Jedi would be unhappy to wear it!

Congratz on excellent work and I really like how you took the basic SK theme but 'made it your own'. Personally I've always preferred custom sabers 'inspired' by those in the movies, games etc rather than exact replicas and this epitomizes that Creativity imo...BRAVO!

Do you have any build log photos on this? I'd love to see. :)

I just saw this lightsaber on youtube as well. I was checking around for other lightsabers with an amber blade, and got lucky enough to find one with a crystal chamber as well! Awesome lightsaber. I really like what you did here. Any chance of seeing how you wired everything up? I like the accent LEDs for the crystal chamber, along with the additional one that actually "powers" up with the blade and is amber! :D it's a wicked cool lightsaber.
