Not my first, but the first one I thought was even worthy of sharing.

It's just a simple setup with a Green Seoul P4, PNP transistor, and a cheapy Hasbro Vader soundboard. I used a 1 1/4" sink tube with an aluminum pipe for the shroud. I'm not much for the cramfu as yet, hence the loads of empty space inside. I made my own chassis with some acryllic blocks, all-thread, and brass tubing. I made a couple simple LED sabers before (all sink tube) but this is the first rechargeable one.

Enjoy.

That's quite fantastic. I'm liking this a lot. Excellent work.

Thanks! I'm slowly working my way up to a more complicated circuit and a real soundcard. I'm not much for MHS parts yet though. The hilt building is the fun part!

A couple more photos of the chassis. I built my own disks because I used a 1 1/4" sink tube for the interior and the TCSS disks obviously wouldn't fit. Plus, I needed a custom one to hold the Hasbro soundcard. Those acryllic disks are too thick though. They add up to quite a bit of lost space once you put several in there. I attached the PNP transistor to the forward disk and ran all the wiring through there.

The speaker mount is a rubber screw-on end cap for a garden hose assembly, sanded to fit. I sanded down the outer couple screw threads and the speaker fit in nicely, even snapping in behind the outer thread.

I definitely have a lot of extra space in there. The next one will be a tighter fit and hopefully shorter. This hilt ended up up at about 11 1/2".

I like it! On the emitter end there seems to be a lower level of aluminum. Is this the blade holder or something else? Good job!

I too like this. That is all................, for now.

It's the blade holder showing through. I cut out part of the sink tube.

A couple more photos. Here're the hilt parts. I had originally started with a green paint on the sink tube, but later decided that I didn't like it and sanded it off. I had to split the aluminum tube down its length so it would slide over the sink tube. It's just a hair too small on the inside.

Thanks everyone! This is quite a hobby. I appreciate the encouragement and especially this mountain of knowledge you all have built here.

Fitting stuff in these 1 1/4" tubes is like a slow, tedious game of tetris. Hopefully by the time i graduate to MHS parts the will seem cavernous inside! Probably not though...
