Ordered a box 7 and will be modifying if for a PLI and a Mini Momentary switch.

Had to sand down the PCB on the PLI to get it to fit on the houing. Ill be drilling the switch hole soon and adding a ball momentary off to the side.
I will make a custom acrylic plate to cover the PLI with Graphics. ( Coming Soon ).

I Havent decided if i will use the rubber stripes yet. Im toying around with the idea of etched plates that will get aluim black. So of a vader'esque or a vader apperentice saber.
We will see how it goes.

Looks like i maybe making a pair of them.

Plans will be for nanos Biscottis and probally white blades

Second heinland tube i ordered came in the mail before the first one.
First i gutted it and decided what to keep. I flash emitter housing will work great as a blade holder with the addition of a few set screws. I will also mount the Led Unit directly to the bottom woth 4-440 screws.
Plan to also add a PLI
and a small 6mm blue tacticle switch and a custom D ring mount.
I gave the unit so far a fine sanding to get rid of some of the chrome and reveal a little brass around the lettering.
The Switch box will hold the PLI and be Black.
I will repaint the emitter shroud black.
Will also salvage the emitter guts to make a blade plug

After a littler drilling tapping and fitting to keep the blade at an 90* i ended up with an ecxtra screw hole.. :(
I will probally make a brass or black cover plate of sorts.
I fried my PLI in the most recent test fit :( sadness.
Ordered more i may just put an accent LED and an off switch for the speakers in the box

That looks pretty sweet. Does it pulse with the saber's sound? I couldn't tell from the video. (Maybe my volume was too low?)

yes the mini board is sound activated. i will add similar pomel to the 3 cell one

More in Progress photos. Mounted the covertech and drilled the 4-440 holes ( still need button heads ) for the box. added the dome grips. will add the micro switches and black the aluiminum soon as i get the material. Parts also came for the 3 cell which i will start on in the next few days. Still need to clean the excess sticky goo off the hilt.

3Cell Work in progress:
Anakin TCSS FX adapter as the emitter
Cut down the Flash tube 3/8th of the inch
cut a channel in the emitter to mounth wires for the switch

Looking great so far. Those dome grips are pretty slick, don't think I've ever seen them before.

switches here will be wiring this weekend and blacking comes today. should have one complete by mid week next week

No actually, you should leave them, they look different for sure. Like the whole thing too, has a sort of worn but well kept look to it.
