I would like to proudly present my very first completed MHS saber, the Claimh Solais! I started this LAST summer, and slowly completed it over a year because of budget restrictions. The name comes from Irish Mythology. The Claimh Solais, meaning Sword of Light, was described as a holy sword with a shimmering blade that could cut through any enemy. That description sounds kind of like something else we all know and love, doesn't it? ;) Well I wont bore you with too many more details.

-The main LED is a Seoul P4 Blue driven at 1.4 amps by the PC 2.0.
-Power source is two Trustfire 14500 3.7V cells.
-The main font I use with this saber is Madcow's "Korribon" Would also like to give a shoutout to Madcow as seeing his PVC chassis' were the main inspiration for how I did mine.
-32 inch blade made from TCSS blade supplies, (also just ordered a Vader's Vault blade)
And without further a due, some photographs!

A big thank you to all who have offered advice and tips throughout my whole building and learning process! It's been fun!
Now I just need to save up to build a 2nd one! :)

Looks great! Nice and bright, too. I'll be getting in some parts for my first build here soon. Stoked to start! It's great to see another example of how good a build can go!

Great work!

Thanks to both of you! For your first build Kyaryo Ysoyav, a little piece of advice I would like to offer is to make sure you take your time. There were a couple of small incidents I had, but luckily was able to fix, due to being a little impatient and wanting it to be done. haha

CG is correct, you must not rush perfection, although looking at all these talented smiths work can be intimadating as long as u take ur time and everything turns out the way u want it then my friend ur saber is perfection!

Just a little update with an upgrade I did. I upgraded the main LED from the P4 Blue to a Tri-Cree BBW with the 2 Blues wired in series, (possibly wiring up the white later for FOC, havent decided yet), and thought I'd post a little comparison of them. Both sets of pictures use the same camera and close to the same lighting.

First, the P4 Blue at 1.4amps

Now the Tri Cree at 1.2amps

Quite the difference I'd say, especially in person! I may never go back to a single die LED. haha
