Amantia, A Scratch Custom Shoto by LDM

Amantia

This is a 10" long x 1.25" OD scratch built saber. I wanted to do something that resembled a blaster flash suppressor. Originally, it was a Corran Horn concept (when I started it 2 years ago) but I decided to just go with a custom shoto because I really like what E57 and Madcow have done with the Horn concept. I went for a classic synthesis of visual cues from the SW universe, but at the same time wanted to keep it simple and elegant. This one has Trans-copper powder coated neck and a faux alligator inlaid/wrapped grip. I also heavily customized an aluminum switch and recessed it. The BH is a POC for me as well. I wanted to see if I could do a BH that could hold a blade without a set screw. In other words, could I machine the tolerance to such a fine level that the blade is tight enough to swing around, yet loose enough to pull out at will. It works very well. Thanks for looking.
