That kind of video can mean anything. Its basically just a tech demo.
To me, it looks like its set in between ROTS and ANH, but with a simple change of the character models, it could be KotoR, NJO, or any other era.

There's been some rumors of a "Darth Vader" game on the TFN game boards. I'm also thinking its not going to be post-ROTJ just because LA has said they didn't want to expand on the Jedi Knight series (and this looks like a next-gen version of that)

What I would hope for is a Wii release. We know thats not going to happen, so hopefully a PS3 release. Why? 360 dosn't have a motion sensor.

Lightsaber game + motion sensor = amazing possibilities.

But yeah, I would just take this as a tech demo, and nothing more.

the demo looked cool and all but they never used their lightsabers, they just threw people around with the force and then there was one force lightning

It looked pretty cool to me, too. A darth vader game would be the bomb diggity. I could be kind of like Legacy of Kain, in that you are the bad guy. They'd find a way of either making darth a secondary character or having you fight a greater evil, though. That was one of the reasons I was less than happy with Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter. It wasn't completely through the antagonists eyes. I'm just ready for a sequel to Jedi Academy! KOTOR 3! Anything!

That's the tech demo shown behind closed doors at E3. It's a game on the 360 and PS3 that uses a new, ultra-realistic physics engine. I heard it's set after Episode III and deals with lost jedi or something like that. However, i'm pretty sure it's just a rumor.

There's also an all-but-officially-confirmed SW game for the Wii that has special focus on the lightsaber combat.

Oh, and the PS3 can't do lightsaber combat with its motion sensor, since it doesn't have pointer technology.

that video was available to hyperspace members on starwars.com at one time. if i remember right its just lucas arts way of showing off what they can do with the next gen. engine.

i don't know how many know bout this but the article on it is over 8 pages long.....and make sure u check out the friggin new tech for the game.....my friend has programmed games before and is blown away by what he sees.....it looks as if lucas is up to his normal "come up with something that revolutionizes the industry" thing again. I for one am excited.....

I have that issue of Game Informer, and that new game looks awesome! The tech is unbelievable! Talk about "interactive enviornments!" Too bad I only have a PS2, I'll bet it won't be anywhere near the same experience as you'd get with the PS3 or Xbox 360....

be forewarned the have only mentioned the PS3/360, ps2/psp, and the DS for The Force Unleashed. No mention of PC or Wii.... as James mentioned, this may limit it a bit......

I read in that article that if it was made available for the Wii, it wouldn't be the "lightsaber game" that everyone has been waiting for, anyway. I'd also probably have to build a new PC to play it if ithere was a PC version, too. I'm still waiting for KOTOR III, too....

There's a nice little piece in there on God of War II...only mentioned the PS2, though...it must be available on other consoles, it was a huge hit the first time around.

Yeah....ran into that problem at the gaming store....kept mising the two up as i was talking to them......

my only problem with them is for us lightsiders it may be tough to play the role of killing off jedi(maybe not that hard...heh). But it is nice to see a title that is specificly the anit-hero rather than the hero doing good(not mentioning the KOTOR series which can be either).

I'm still waiting for KOTOR III, too....

I'm not into games so much anymore so I didn't care to substantiate it, but I read that KOTOR III is off the table because of LucasArts cut backs.
