Has anyone else noticed that the Jedi wrist communicators used by Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan in the CGI Clones Wars series look almost identical to TCSS switch boxes with an illuminated anti vandal button?

Wasn't asking for help, just making an observation for anyone looking to make a replica for a costume.

you know i have been toying with the idea in my head to make a fully working one out of an old blue tooth ear bud i have perhaps its time to revisit that idea

I will check it out. I love the Clone Wars. and think it has kept alive the spirit of the original trilogy really nicely (I say 'spirit' , not 'continuity') Some episodes are miniature movies (IMHO) and I would recommend them to anyone who still wants a fix of Star Wars goodness, but maybe considers the format not canon enough.

You know, I haven't seen much of the series and I don't have a clear picture in my head of the communicators... tried to Google it but the signal to noise ratio is bad. Anyone have pics of the communicator?

From a distance the button looks just like an AV switch when lit up. Close up they look like this: http://i1051.photobucket.com/albums/s437/DarkarNights/th_574e937d.jpg (http://s1051.photobucket.com/albums/s437/DarkarNights/?action=view&current=574e937d.jpg)
I've noticed they lite up different colors for each character also.

That would be a very interesting build if someone has the guts to make it. Would definitely polish off a fancy Jedi outfit.

I'm wondering if a watch battery would have the juice to light an Anti Vandal?

It looks to me like you might have enough room for a 14500 batt, lengthways at least. Although running a line to this box under a costume would be no problem. If a speaker would fit you could even have a small 'card recorder' (about $10), sequestered away with different sounds, or voices from the Clone Wars. "Sector 17 safe and clear General" ha ha

Haha, what I can't figure out, is how were the clones even trained to know about order 66 when they had Jedi Master Shaak Ti stationed on Kamino overseeing their training?

genetic programming. Or my favorite, in their warning orders before the conflict began. (after they left genosia)
