Hi guys let me start by saying that I prefer heavy or thick walled blades because I don't have to worry about breaking them. I prefer a length anywhere from 28-32 inches. 36 is the max. I'm stuck on which blade I want to use when I build my custom saber. I was looking at the Tcss thick blade or an ultra sabers blade. Does anyone know which one is brighter and most evenly lit? The only sabers i have now are ultra sabers using their blades and I am pleased. What kind should I use? I'm open to any other blade type suggestions or makers. Pictures would be helpful too! Thank you guys!

Well Guardian almost all saber blades are made out of polycarbonate (3/4-1" thin or thick walled) as far as brightness goes, it really depends on what you use to diffuse
the light with, and the lens you use (cellophane wrap, Corbin film, the blade diffuser that Tim sells in the store &tc) I mean i've seen the guys (and girls) here produce
some pretty eye searingly bright blades using the materials in the store and about 4" worth of cellophane wrap.
But before you make your decision on which blades to use you should take a look in the gallery and you'll see what I mean.

I hope this helps

there is a test video on FX where madcow beats the life out of a thick walled blade and a thin, neither broke but the thin walled bent and I believe it bent on the lets smack the ground as hard as we can test. either one will work I have had great success making my blades out of cellophone gift wrap between 5-6 feet of it it sa real nice bright blade. hope this helps.
