Help !

Hi all
I'm just finishing my graflex saber, at the moment it has a
Novasound 3.0, 2 watt speaker,my own internal chassis,
Power source is just three AAA's at the moment. I'm going
To change to 4.8 volt with in hilt recharge. How do I wire up
The recharge port ? It has three prongs, I've tried to work it
Out for myself with a volt meter but can't ! Your help
Would be greatly appreciated
