Arcade VS Luxeon Saber

I would like to throw a crazy question out there yet again. Should I either get a lux saber(from ultra) or use that money to help continue converting my arcade into a MAME arcade which basically means changing it from just playing Mortal Kombat(It is a mortal Kombat arcade currently) to playing every game ever put on an arcade and even other systems games(N64, PS1, NES, SMS and SNES). I know that most everyone will get really mad for me discussing my arcade on this forum but oh well. Let the flaming begin. Oh, and don't forget to actually get detailed on your opinion on this subject.

okay, i would buy a saber cause they are sweet and i don't really like video games that much. also, you said contribute to the system which means that it would take even more money than a 189 dollar saber

Actually I have a friend who is paying 1 dollar for every dollar I put in and it actually costed 189 plus 20 dollar shipping so that's 219x2=$438 and I already have the computer needed to install into the arcade and basically I have everything I need except the PC adapter for the control paned and possibly a new monitor. So I can chose a saber or upgrading my arcade to MAME. If you need me to explain it more I would be more than happy to.

HMC go for the saber. From there you can do your Velocities (exercises and dualing with friends) maybe get a Jedi costume and be in a Fan Film....

I get bored with video games too quickly.

ya see but the thing is I don't like to dress up and I don't have a camera for fan films, I just thought of it as a kind of hobby and I use that term loosly. I am a HUGE video game geek, I'm such a geek I could tell you how to do the super bounce glitches in Halo 2 lol.

And I HMC have no clue what the heck you are even talkin' about. I played Halo 2 for about 20 minutes with my brother and I know that my son wants it cause he beat Halo last week in about four days.

I've played video games since I was about 5 I think. At least that's as far back as I can remember. I think I'm going to go with the MAME project.

Yeah. I'm a dissapointing guy what can I say? But this doesn't mean I'm abandoning the project. It may just be delayed. I said it would take a loooooooooooong time.

Get the arcade stuff... You're gonna be cooped up all winter and the entertainment value of video games goes alot further than a saber. Just my opinion. Not that sabers aren't cool, but if it HAS to be one or the other, I'd choose the gaming rig.

That's excactly what I was thinking. I've loved video games all my life and I can't go wrong with a MAME machine.

Go with the video game system. Ultimate playability. Sabers are great. I have several and I love to build them, but there is only so much fun you can have swinging one around. The arcade will let you play what sounds like all the great games I remember playing and change when you want. Just my 2 cents.

Hey, you can take those two cents and play on my arcade! Just kiddin, it's free. Well, This is a lot of funding that I'm putting into a project that has most of what it needs so it's going to go smoothly because if I screw something up I have like 200 mmore bucks to fix it. [8D]
