I need to know about the ribbed extension. How do I install it on an MHS without one that is completely assembled? Do I move the heatsink and LED and wires back and out of the emitter then put on the extension then push the heatsind and LED back up then screw on the emitter? Is there a tutorial for this?

Are you asking how to screw in a mhs piece to a current saber?
If so just unscrew where you want to add the piece and feed your electronics through and screw it back in
I must admit to being slightly confused here if you built the saber I would think you wouldn't be having a problem dude.

The heatsink goes at the end of the emitter always. No matter what else you have for MHS sections.

You put the H/S with the LED in the section the emitter is going into, and is held in by the emitter, regardless of the emitter, or MHS Center section you're using.

I hope that’s clear enough.

Well, to install an extension onto an already assembled MHS would I have to seperate some wires to then put the extension, feed the wired in, then solder it back up?

Yes, that's correct.

If you are not using the quick connects then you should still be able to slide all of your electronics through the ribbed section, set the heatsink/blade holder on the ribbed section, screw the emitter back on and then screw the rest back on the opposite end.

Unless you have something that can't slide through the pieces I don't know why you would have to take any wires apart, about the only thing you would need to do is unscrew the switch.

I might install a quick disconnect later when I get other LEDs but no I don't have one right now. But something came up that brought a smile to my face, my dad has a soldering gun that I had no idea about so I can install an extension if I want later and I can install a quick connect setup later. Thanks for the information guys now let this topic die.

you know connecting two mhs pieces are really hard to put together. so hard that no man on this earth can do it.
