I made a two threads attempting to get help with hilt designing, but I eventually designed three hilts I will work with over the course of several months. Here is a picture:

The bottom most hilt will be my main focus right now. I want to put a crystal chassis in the hilt, and give it the option to be revealed through extension without stretching the LED wiring I want to put in.
How do I go about wiring? I can't find any link that explains the resistors, ohms, all the specifications I need to know to make sure the saber works..

This is where we all start. In the start here section. ;) http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/forumdisplay.php?35-New-to-the-saber-scene-Start-Here

To Sunrider, listen you must! On your journey, knowledge must you gain first. For, if not, frustration and sadness follow, they will!

Wise are these advises, all you want is in the wiring and cutaways section.
If I may, when you make the design, be sure the space in the hilt will be enough for all the electronics, especially when you want a crystal chamber, and this choke. Depending on the battery configuration, switches, the size of the board, it may be tricky, possible but tricky, especially when it's your first saber. IMO, the middle design would fit better to your project. I think revealed crystal chambers are more difficult to achieve through ribbed sections, but I can be mistaken.

Please discuss and ask questions about your build in ONE thread.
