I also think the midi-chlorian thing is a bit lame. In fact I think it's one of the lamest things in the prequels; but I've kinda gotten used to it..

I wonder why Lucas decided to demystify the force. Simply to explain Anakin's abilities?


I've been reading alot of wookipedia lately and I recently read about how Anakin lost alot of his force power when he became Darth vader. Or rather after his accident.

Lucas was supposedly quted as saying anakin had twice the force potential as the emperor before the accident and only about 80% of the emperor's power after the accident...

Ain't that some snit'z.

I wonder if Lucas reasons that he lost his living limbs which contained the midis he lost some of his force power. Probrably.

I also read that Lucas has said that Luke has as much force potential as Anakin did.

Anyway; I also think anakin's immaculate conception is lame too. Maybe even lamer than midichlorians..

Well..I'm sure losing the midi-chlorians in his arm and legs cut his power dramatically. (LAME!)

I think that Luke has even more force power than his father. He was tempted in a "similar" way as Anakin was, and he held true. That much control is what inspires greatness. The ability to meld your emotion WITH the force and use them as a tool for even greater power...and then turn it off before it destroys you, is true power.

Yea he'd been in the suit for 2 decades, his son had JUST cut his hand robot hand off (wore him the F out), and then he gets nuked by the emperor. Effectively blasting the hell out of his box of life giving goodness that is on his chest. If you remember...he started wheezing because he couldn't breath in the non-super-cool air. Which, in fact, probably killed him.

Ya I had also read about how vader's suit prevented him from doing force lightning because it would short out or what not.

'Sith alchemy' was used in the making of vader's suit. The emperor gave Vader some crazy kind of juice to make him extra strong and to have more control over him.

With that 'sith alchemy' the ancient sith used to make lightsaber resistant swords; not vibroblades but different. Cool stuff.

Yeah, the midichlorian thing has some major holes. One of them is that if it depends on the concentration and total count of midichlorians in your body, then size does matter, or is a limiting factor in figuring potential, and not just belief, faith, or mental focus. Also, if the force only binds together and penetrates living things, then how can it be used on non-living things, into the future, into the past, and across the great vacuum of space?

Before the whole Midi-C thing it was easier to accept that Jedi could just do stuff like pick up an x wing or control someones mind. Like their using another 30% more of their brain or something that other beings cant use.
