Which tap?

I have this insert (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MPS-insert-style-12-P535.aspx) D ring. I want to know what kind of tap I should use, since I want to move the D ring on the side of my hilt.
I want to say the 6-32 Tap & Drill set, but I'm not sure.

also, does the covertec clip use a 8-32 tap?

Hey Rock, I just checked my insert and it is a 2-56 thread (smaller than 4-40 even!) for the socket head cap screws that hold the d-ring on. The tap drill is #50.

And yes, the covertec knob works with an 8-32 shcs. Hope this helps!
