If you install the sound board (Luke ROTJ) in a saber does it sense the swing, power on and contact accordingly?

And how is it installed? Is there a very indepth guide to do so? Because I know very little about this stuff but would love to get into it.

Thanks a lot.

you need to get the motion sensor as well as the sound board for it to make swing and clash sounds. there should be a article on how to instal it in cutaway views and wiring schematics in tutorials

Any idea where to get the motion sensor? Is it expensive? Hard to install?

I would guess it would at least be less than 100 bucks because MR sabers have all the sensors and all the other stuff(soundboard, MR driver) for less than 100 bucks depending on where you get them of course. Where you get it is beyond my reach.

MR sound boards come with the sensors already when u either rip em out the MR or if u buy them from Tim. Depending on what board it is either attached directly to the board or they are on a separate wafer attached by a plug into the primary board. Please do your research before you give out information.

Awesome. http://thecustomsabershop.com/sabers/prodimages/mrlukesound.jpg
But if the sound device is that big how will it know if there is contact toward the top of the blade? Vibration?

And if if you have TCSS make a saber for you using the MHS builder, would it be possible to have them add the sound card also?

Yes, the shock "sensor" is a spring inside a tube. When it's hit/vibrates hard enough it sends the signal to the board that it's sensed a clash. In an MR it literally just hangs inside there. It doesn't need to be mounted to anything.

The MHS builder is not a "we make you this" option. It is dirt easy though. If you can screw two things together you're good to go and can put the hilt together. Tim already has a speaker mount option. If you want it all done for you then you'll have to talk about "custom" work with him. That totally defeats the purpose of this site, but if you got the money... whatever.
