Hello all,
I wish to convert a MR FX Darth Vader and Mace Windu to Luxeon Rebel LED style with a battle capable blade.

Here is the wish list I composed: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/ViewWishlist.aspx?WishlistId=13708

I have 3 LEDS currently on the list as I am undecided on the color for the Mace Windu, Which brings me to my first question:
Has anyone used or is it possible to use A TRI-STAR REBEL LED (RED,RED, BLUE) to make purple using the original FX electronics?
Is the Luxeon LED that is on this list III or V?

When converting to the new battle ready blade, does it matter if I use 1" or 3/4" diameter based blades on the products listed in the wish list?

Will this be everything I need to do the conversion? I won't need a new power supply driver board or anything like that, correct?

Thanks in advance, forgive me as I am new to this....

Tri Rebel LEDs are not recommended for sabers as there isn't an optic (lens) that will adequately focus the light into the blade.
For a multi die LED you should look for an LED that has the dies under one dome (LEDengin for example).

Thanks, I didn't know they existed.

I am still confused on the blade diameter though, if either size will fit into the holder.

Oh sorry, missed that. The conversion kits take a 1" blade (as is the general norm with LED sabers).

battle blades are heavy though but will take a beating verry well =) if you want a purple i would say use a rebel White and some of TCSS color disc. the 3/4IN blade has an adaptor http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/1-to-34-Reducer-P147.aspx this will make it fit in the 1in blade holderyou will have to sand it down just a tad but thats easy to do.
