Finished my first saber with the help of my son. It was a lot of fun and we are very pleased with the results. Need to fine tune some things, but for the most part it is complete. Thanks for all of the helpful information on this board.

Congratulations, very cool hilt! I really like your switch box placement, and the graflex button is a nice addition. Looks like it´s very comfortable to wield, too.

That looks really good! I wasn't so convinced that with the new bladeholder a decent graflex could be constructed, but now I'm convinced
And your son doesn't mess around

Are you sure that's Blade Holder 20? It looks like Blade Holder 17 to me. http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Screw-on-LED-blade-holder-style-17-new-style-P417.aspx
Kinda hard to tell for me, so I might be wrong.

That is indeed blade holder 17. Skott made a boo-boo.

Or maybe he needs glasses. ;)

I think that's a sign I need to stop fiddling with the mhs builder and actually make a saber, lol.

On topic, I like this saber. It looks a little bit long for my tastes (and the kid's hands, lol), but I like it's simplicity. Is that a momentary switch in the box? Kinda hard to tell.

Thanks everyone. It was a challenging but fun build.

I agree that it’s too long. It’s difficult to get a sense of that until you have the parts in your hands. Another bummer was that the holder #20 became available about 2 weeks after I had ordered everything. If I had to do over again I would have gone with holder #20 and exchanged Hilt Style 1 with a 4” extension.

Yes, I put the AUX momentary switch for the PC-L in the box as inspired by Jay-gon’s Chrome Saber 36 http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?13124-Jay-gon-s-Chrome-Saber-36&highlight=Jay-gon+Jinn%27s+saber. This ended up being a lot more difficult than I originally thought, but I really like the way it turned out.

Sounds like you've got plans for your next saber! Good on you!

Nice job on this one, nonetheless!

Yeah, I've found that I'm taking the time to get my exact hilt measurements down and that I'm satisfied before I finish a design.
Think of it this way: with blade holder 20 being available now, you have some new options for your next saber. =D

I thought I recognized that momentary switch setup. Looks very fluid. I like it.
