All MHS parts will screw into each other, provided the threading is correct.

No. The two parts with the slots (schmaber) are male threaded on both ends. They will screw into the grip tube section but then you will have male to male threads on the pommel. You might be able to get the gear on the emitter side schamber, but then you will have male to male threads at the bladeholder. Turn the thread hints on and move some parts around and you will see the problems with the threading.

Dano, when you use the MHS Builder, make sure you have the box "Thread Hints" checked! Male parts (threaded ends) can only be joined with female parts (internal threads). If you have to pieces you want to join that both have male ends, you need an adapter (like the double female).

To simplify your build (and shorten it) I would probably use the following parts:

MPS Pommel 5
Double Female section (7 or 8 inch)
MHS Gear
Blade Holder 12
MHS Sleeve 1

You can have Tim mill some slots in the Double Female section, and then slide the MHS sleeve over it.
