Hey up peeps.
I've set up a latching switch LED circuit in my saber, keeping it simple, no sounds just a pretty green light. Anyhow, I use a 9V battery but still it seems to eat these things really quick. Doesn't last much longer than and hour or so even if I have the thing switched off.
I can't figure out what to do so turning to you Jedi Masters for help. Anyone got any advice?
Cheers

Well the fact that you're using a 9 Volt battery is the problem. Those don't have very much capacitance.

capacity, not capacitance. capacitance is a unit of measure for capacitors.

and yes, 9V batteries are the WORST battery choice out there for sabers. 4 AAA NiMHS will last a LOT longer and have been proven VERY effective. 9V batteries are made for very low draw circuits, so anything like a saber will overdraw it and damage it, preventing it from working after a very short while.

however, also check for grounds and bare wires.
