IF anyone could help me on ideas for layouts for my saber that i am planing to build.

I want to have a luminated power switch at the pommel end of my saber. using two lithion batteries with a recharge port, and sound board below the batt. pack. 1 speaker, a LED driver, 2 resisters, a clash sensor, a LED batt. level, 4 mini LEDs (for crystal chamber) and a lexeon LED.

i am thinking something like this:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|------------------
-------| Battery-------| S |----|DR| |Clash|------|restor|---| RE | |
Switch| ----------------| Pk |-----| V | --------::::::-----------|CHRG| | Crystal CHMBR
--------| Sound Board | R |----| R | |Restor|-----|LED Level|--------|
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|------------------

Opinions?
(Sorry for how tacky that looks)

That's a lot of stuff to cram into what I'm assuming is your first saber. It's a pretty ambitious looking build.

Depending on what sound board you're going to be using, and your battery pack configuration, side-by-side, or end-to-end, you may not be able to get both in the same section how you want.

Also, you should put the sound board on top of the battery pack, not the other way round. Some boards have components that stick out from the surface of the board, and you don't want your batteries on top of them.

Well there are 2 answers for your question... and I'm sad to tell you NO it will not fit (in a 4in space)... BUT dont worry because YES it will definately fit! (in lets say a saberstaff)...

(lol) Now in all seriousness we really need to see the hilt your trying to fit this in..

Question: Do you have any drawing's, renders, or reference pics? Post them up! (or anything from the MHS builder?) that will really help everyone, help you get all that stuff (it is quite a daunting list for a first build and seems overcomplicated) but just to get that stuff into something you can be super proud of. There is no feeling like turning on your first saber!!! Good luck my friend! (and welcome)

Your link doesn't work!

Mainly because he's linking to his own desktop.

Web links don't work that way, Hayze (Jay?). You're going to have to upload the image to somewhere like Photobucket or Dropbox, then link from there. Just edit your post with the new link and you'll be fine.

Or he can upload it here and make it an attachment.

I dont think that the crystal chamber can be that close to the emiter...I think you will have trouble with the heatsink...IMO:(

I'm confused now. Did you add a small extension between the crystal chamber and the blade holder?

the total length of my MHS pasts is 13 inches, the pommel would take up the main switch, the handle is 7", the milled piece which is 1.5 inches is where i want the crystal chamber, a 1.2 inch extension, where i want to put one mini LED, then the blade holder for the main lexeon and heat sink.

I want a lil bit of the main crystal to stick into the handle as 1.5 inches is not alot of space.
sorry if my wiring diagram looks a lil small at the emitter spot.

i sound card will be 1 X 2 X 0.3 inches
