Hi all....
Down near the end on saber and I've got a sanity check question.
I'm using this build diagram;

Then I've got a #5 box with an additional LED that will be my "power to the saber" LED when the kill key is removed.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-w_D6AZI_k-Y/TeAxBh0qIyI/AAAAAAAAALo/0C-VHlrYNEQ/recharge%252520port.jpg

So the sanity check....
Tab 1 goes to Positive of Accent LED & Battery Power and Transistor Power.
Tab 2 goes to Negative of Accent LED (w/resistor) and Battery Negative
Tab 3 goes to Board/Main LED Negative.

Correct?
Thanks!

Run accent/power on led off tab 3 also otherwise led will remain on at all times.

If 2 is battery negative & 3 is board / Led negative, how is that going to work?

The positive (tab1) to and from the recharge port will always have power. The negative (tab3) will only have power from the port when the plug is removed. So with the LED between the port and the board, when you have the plug in no power. Pull it out the LED will come on cause you have a complete circuit.

Tab 1 & 2 are constant, 3 comes on when kill key is removed. Think of the port as a switch and it will make sense.

I was wondering this myself just recently, and it made me think of a new question, if I'm using NiMH batteries, do I HAVE to use a smart charger, or is a smart charger just recommended? Like, if I have a standard wall charger that fits the 2.1mm port, will that work?
