i wonder what type sound cardf is in them? maybe something similar to what we used to used from the 8 buck sabers. someone grab one and tear it apart and see.

yep, saw em a few weeks ago.

finally a saber that can extend with a button.
Only took em over 20 years to come out...

I've been brainstorming ideas for an led pop-out since I started becoming interested in saber building. Some day..

Hope it doesn't take me as long..[8D]

They are supposed to be in stores until September. They aren't cheap either. It's only a $15 step up to an MR. The segmented and tapered blade will always be lame in my book.

$30 is expensive? Where are you finding MR sabers for $45?

I'm talking about the sound not the whole MR saber. It'd be $30 to take the out the sound module and be left with a toy. Unless there is a huge leap in the quality of Hasbro sound, $30 for crappy to moderate sound isn't worth it. While you can get MR sound modules alone $45 from TCSS and Ultra. I even got one from Corbin for less.

darthpoo-

yup, i had those...hideously oversized, even for an adult. i thought they didn't come out till the 80's, tho? oh yeah, i also had the inflatable ones that came out in the late 70's ("flashlights in a tube" for real)
