recharge port inside box 7?

I was wondering if anyone that has a recharge port and switch box style 7 could confirm that it fits inside? Want to mount so it faces thr right, and eventually use a graflex lever for a kill key. :cool:
Not the end of the world if its not flush mounted. Sticking out a bit is okay.
Oh and pics would help tons!

I think your Cram Fu would have to be fairly awesome to pull that of. To be honest i don't think it would fit there, maybe vertical and a have sliding cover, or something rigged up.

You'd have an easier go if you turn it 90 degree to come out the front or back as apposed to the side. Otherwise if the box is tall enough you might find yourself installing it and then soldering it.

I honestly didn't think of that lol thanks... I did find a alternative method but I will not mention it BUT I might install it long ways now, if the 2 momentary switches will still fit.

thanks everyone! yeah i would install it on the forward end or the back end, but i really want to use a graflex lever for a kill key. would look awesome on display and then removed for use so i dont snag my hand on it.

i did a recharge port it was in box style 1 though that page sort of has a step by step, but to have it come out the side like you want you need a smaller recharge port like 1.3mm you can get them at mouser.

The problem I see with this is that the 2.1mm recharge is larger in diameter on the interior half of the port than it is on the threaded half that will extend out the side of the box. That box also has a "floor" in it that you need to take into consideration as well. I'm sure this can be done, but it will take a bit of work to get it in there.

Jay knows his stuff! Seems that one used a adapter to make the turn. Neat!

That being said you could make more room by cutting out the bottom of the box if that helps.

Evilkat hit the nail on the head with it, I just know were to get them now lol and for respect of tim I will not disclose that info, but it would be nice for tim to look at the recharge ports and see if he wants to stock the different ones.
