One big question here...My buddy has a 2003 Vader from ANH...I am curious as to whether the '05 Vader ESB disassembly and kit WILL or WILL NOT work with the 03!!!

By the way, it appears that the only exterior difference is the 03 Vader is slightly longer. I've yet to take it apart. (He wanted me to find out if it would work first...can't blame him for being cautious)

The Vader ANH is 6AA so if it even did fit I think it'd be a pain to fit the holder and other stuff in the whole length. Tim should know though.

I'd say the hilt is about 1/2 an inch longer than the ESB.

Is this thing beat up or something? It would seem to me that taking the old FX's and selling them would get you enough to buy a new FX, conversion kit and maybe even have some left over to start a MHS.

He's got 1 '03 vader and 2 of the '05 vaders

and by the way, the '03 Vader has many broken LED's and the inside tube has to be held on with duct tape....but It still sort of lights up

well, then convert the screwed up vader esb, then you can keep the old one until it is worth even more [;)]
