I actually came upon a wierd connector in an MR 05 Anakin. It looked like an old-school keyboard connector (the 8 pin din connector). As if the blade was meant to be removable... I managed to dremel through it and salvage the clash sensor, but it was tough. This connector has never been mentioned on here before, for any Anakin saber...

Originally, the MR sabers were going to have removable blades, but LFL nixed at the time.
That's why some of the sabers have that type of plug.
I guess they changed their mind since then.

There are actually THREE versions of the Anakin ROTS:
* Version 1: Light weight hilt tube, plastic recharge pins, DIN quick disconnect blade socket internal connector.
* Version 2: Heavier weight hilt tube, real brass recharge pins, standard wiring.
* Version 3: (Warehouse find) Same as Version 2, sound is deeper in tone and louder, packaging change, (final run)
