I have yet to see a difference between the 2 versions.

Blade color = Purple
Power supply = 6AA
Blade type = LED strip
MR part number = SW-206

I belive to get the purple color of the blade, MR used a blue LED strip with red diffuser film. Also, the only difference between AOTC and ROTS is that ROTS is louder and has a brighter blade.
