Hey guys, need some quick help...

I can't find the wiring diagram for installing a 5v Regulator on a MR/FX board (mine is a Luke ROTJ). Can someone post a link of it please (laptop died and lost all my links/images of diagrams/etc).

Also, i have 2 accent leds, they are 5mm Cyan LED's... Thats all i know and the seller isn't responding on FX-Saber, how can i resistor them properly?

Thanks :)

why not just use a battery pack that's 4-5V instead? 3 alkalines will give you 4.8V and 4 NiMHs will give you 4.8V and you won't need a regulator at all.

as for the cyan LEDs, i think i remember seeing some of those somewhere - they were rated at 3.2-3.4V @ 20-30mA if i remember right... if you resister them like the blue AV switch LEDs you should be fine.

Already went through that, my only option with the chassis was 7.4v from Tim's 2x Li-Ion 3.7v rechargable batteries.

Thats why i got the 5v regulator :P But i can't find the wiring diagram i had before :(

i'm running all my MR/FX boards on 3.7V Li-Ions... but since you're already set on your course...

lef to right, heatsink at the top and lettering towards you. pin 1 - Bat+. pin 2 - Bat-. pin 3 - Board+.

Thanks, i was told 3.7v Li-Ion is not enough for a MR Luke ROTS soundboard + 2 accent LED's...

Just to let you know...

You can run basically any 5mm LED at 3V and 30ma without destroying it... they work fine.

that's a good rule of thumb - i can't think of any LEDs besides the old 1.5V green ones that would blow at 3V and i haven't seen one of those in years.
