So im making my second saber. I am using batteries from an older project. 7.2v li ion 750mah. I know i need to use a 5v regulator for my econo board. My question is if i looked at the resitor that i need with out it for my p4 led i need a 4.7 ohm 10watt. If i use a 5 v regulator do i need to step down in the resitor area of my build or can it be the same?

You're going to want to use a smaller resistor. With the 5v regulator, you'll only be sending 5v to the LED instead of the 7.2 you were sending before. 1.5 ohm 5 watt resistor is what the chart shows for 4.5-4.8v battery solutions. That's what I used in my econo setup with the 5v regulator.

Thanks so much. Thats what i figured.

Silver you answered my question, but does anyone know if Tim will be stocking 68 ohm 1/4w reistors? Or do i gotta look elsewhere?

Don't know if he's gonna stock those. I assume that's for the illuminated switch? You have a couple options:

1. Use the next size up, the 82 ohm 1/4 watt resistor. The switch will be a bit dimmer, but still work fine. You may not even notice.
2. Drop the 5v regulator and just use a single li-ion battery. I'm running another econo board on a single 16340 right now, with illuminated switch.

Both are perfectly valid options, though many of the more experienced saber builders usually recommend option 2, with a single 18650 li-ion.

what about with an accent led of 2v what type of resistor would i want to use for that?

this calculator will tell you. http://www.hebeiltd.com.cn/?p=zz.led.resistor.calculator

There's a Resistor, and an LED chart in the Store.

You will need to know what current the accent LEDs need, so you can plug that into the calculator.
