Most likely no.

There is a good chance that switch has to large of a body to fit in the hilt. Without the specs on the switch it really is just a guess based on expereience. The best thing to do is to take your hilt down to the store and do the fit test. I find all kinds of switches that look interesting to try but the size is off.

Yeah, without any specs of the switch I can only guess. In my experience also the Radioshack switches that are latching are HUGE. If you can get us a diameter on the threads and the back pieces we could tell you for sure.

<center>Read the FAQ (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/sabers/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=552) or x-wing won't be happy. :(
Before posting did you check the Thread Index (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/sabers/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=577)?.

That looks like a heavy duty automotive switch, which is to big to fit in the mhs hilt.

Well does anyone have any suggestions for alternative switches than the standard ones from the shop, something that lays flatter perhaps so as not to get in the way of spinning and stuff?

I can only say to go to Radio Shack and take a look through the switch drawers.

And it may be a good idea to get a measurement of the overall diameter of the tube and mabye get a rolled up paper to that diameter so you can simulate your sabers room

just bring your whole hilt down to radio shack and try to fit switches in

Well, he can't cut it there and he can't stuff the switches through metal but paper can easily be folded or cut.

Moocow, the MHS hilt section comes with a recessed switch hole.

RadioShack sells a low-profile switch that will fit in the MHS if it is drilled out just a tad. It is black and is a momentary switch.

thats a nice switch i may use that
for my nephews saber he's a Sith fan
and that would work great for him. I
told him i'd make him one in RGB. Its
gonna need three switches.
He really just wants Purple.
I already gave him a MR FX Vader
converted to a 3 watt Red. I may
use UV like Do-Clo has but I'm not
sure quite yet on the design of it.

For an RGB based saber, you only need one switch...but you need three potentiometers to change the voltage of each part of the RGB and change the color.

Remember that a momentary is exactly that.....it only stays on when you are holding it down, unless u rig something up to hold it down(duct tape for them red-neckers). Or u use a Hasbro board. MR boards and resistered sabers work best with latching style swiitches. Corbin also makes his boards in both lathcing and momentary.

*Gasp* [:0] but the dark side was founded and built from the ground up by ducktape!
