Okay okay, thanks for the suggestions there Peanut Gallery, but "The Law Firm of LDM,D.Lex and Gravy must ratify all units of measure prior to their acceptance into the vernacular of saber-parts purchase Braggadocio.


Henceforth, the following conversion table should be used:

4 Rhyen's = 1 Arkai
4 Arkai's = 1 manly
2 Manly's = 1 Ubermanly
2 ubermanly's = Tim's mortgage payment
3 Tim's mortgage payments = 1 LVG (LDM/VV/Goodman)


So using that conversion table...

1 Rhyen = roughly 1/16th of a Complete Saber
1 Arkai = 4 Rhyen's or 1/4 of a Complete Saber
1 Manly = 4 Arkai's or 1 Complete Saber
1 Ubermanly = 2 Manly's or 2 complete Sabers
1 TMP (Tims Mortgage Payments) = 2 Ubermanlys or 4 Complete Sabers
1 LVG = 3 TPM's or 12 Complete Sabers

A complete saber is considered a manly order, now I'm assuming that includes MHS hilt, blade & electronics. Like I said I build my hilts from pvc as most of you know, so a complete saber order for me from the store consists of blade stock & tip, opitics & holder, led, resistor, switch, rechargable batteries, & sometimes a speaker. Would this still be considered a manly order, or not. I just want to post accuratly, thanks.

Only one order, but it's replacing half the hilt and all the internals save only the LED assembly, so... eh... I'll go with 0.75 manlys.

EDIT: Upon more mature consideration it might be a bit more than 0.75 manlys, considering that I'm putting together a trans-white blade to go with it, but I'm not sure how much that shifts the scale. At a guess I'd say 0.8, maybe 0.85, but I'd like to get a second opinion on that.

Well, if I figure my conversions correctly (sorry, changing over from galleons was difficult, not to mention the hassle the goblins gave me, lol) I've purchased what amounts to 4 Arkais and 3 Rhyens, or just short of 1 Manly, from Tim. Just placed my order on Sunday. Of course, I had previously purchased a few Rhyens worth of parts from the LHS for my saber's entrails and 2 Rhyens on a Obi for the Econo board. All together, I should have 1 full Manly by the time everything arrives.

Wife died a little when she found out I'd spent a full Manly, so it'll be a while before I get to spend any more...

It all started amongst Darth Leximus, Rhyen Skytracker and myself. It was a fun way to classify order size (started back in 2008 ) and once adopted, we have simply continued the lexicon over the years. It was also a fun way to bust each others chops a little, :lol: Get it now?


BTW, I am reverting my number back to Manlys from now on, since I may indeed have the second largest supply of MHS parts in the world...

You do understand that I am the one that makes the rules on this right? :lol: It is based on cost enough to build a certain # of sabers. Auctions are at a discounted cost, hence the downgrade. If you did indeed bid normal store price for all parts in your auction, then by all means an ubermanly it is. ;)


All of that said, nobody really cares one way or another since it is all just for fun :lol:

I'm at about 1.5 Arkai, or .38 Manly; electronics ordered (LED, PC, switches, etc.), but not the blade or the outer hilt bits. (Batteries, resistors, extra titanium-anodizing-tool bling, etc. were already sitting around my room taking up space.) At least, I think that's my order so far; I kinda fumbled the order sheet in terms of email confirmation, it seems, but the money went through. In another month or so (and/or when I finish my electronics mockup and PVC sled) I'll probably bring that up to close to 1 Manly.

(...and I already have more saber ideas. I can see why so many people on these forums are so addicted.)
