I was actually wondering if he uses a bit of reflective tape at the tip if the rest of the whip will get brighter?

or perhaps gluing a transparent cap with a mirror in it on the very end?

I'm digging the dual blaze standing out contrasted against the less intense mid-section. That being said, I'm betting that the camera isn't registering how bright the mid-section truly is, given the intensity of both ends.
