I finally finished my Dark Obi project.
I weathered this MHS Obi saber, gave it a red Rebel LED to create a "Dark Obi" concept.

It has an original Graflex clamp, and the proper transistors attached to the clamp.
It took me a while to track those transistors down!

Specs:
NiMh rechargeable pack
Rebel Red LED
MR Jedi sound - pololu for momentary action!
MHS parts, custom weathering

strong work. Emitter looks...interesting...
And yes, those transistors are a PITA to source and unfortunately a tad expensive too.

Looks really good, love the weathering job. Forgive the "noob" questions - but I'm missing the transistor "reference".
I mean there are what looks like older transistors attached to the side of the graflex clamp, I just don't "get" it - sorry.

That is exactly what it is, transistors attached to the side of a graflex clamp. The original prop, from ANH had those same resistors attached to it. I wanted to be semi-screen accurate, so I sourced the transistors.

Thanks all for the comments.
