Check out Ian Wright's X1 Electric car...

The electrical equivalent of 170 miles per gallon.

0-60 in three seconds.

Blows away both a Ferrari Modena and a Porsche.

I WANT ONE!!!!!!!

Yikes![:0] Two immediate drawbacks, however:
1. No trunk space.
2. The other cars have tilt steering..for better head room.[;)]

You don't need to see any identification.

Sai Naashar-

If you can afford that car, you don't need trunk space. Just have your butler to follow you in another vehicle carrying your stuff for you.

The Wrightspeed X1 is an Ariel Atom, just with an electric motor instead of the DOHC Honda motor that they come with. It’s an extremely potent little car anyway, due to the light weight of it. And it’s street legal looking just like it does on that video, although I’d wear a helmet, to keep the bugs out of your teeth ;) Any of you who have PGR 3 for the xBox 360 can give it a test drive.
Check out Ariel’s site for more info.

http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/04/frames.htm

Still, it’s cool to see the electric powered car lay the smack down to the others, but I’m sorry, the sound of that Porsche revving up is almost orgasmic. No electric motor will ever be able to duplicate the throaty symphony of shear bliss that a large displacement internal combustion engine produces. Sure it’s be nice to have a car that gets better that 15 MPG, but to me it’s worth it every time I mash the accelerator, kick the back end out, and hear the lovely sounds that go along with…
Humm, I feel like a drive now, lol

I've seen that on TV before. Modern Marvals I think.

It was built by a Silicon Valley Guru who wanted a sports car but didn't want to contribute to the gas-polluting-ecocrap thing.

Him and his buddy are trying to get these things into production, or something similar to this concept car. This was there first car I believe.

Nope, been busy...

Running around like a chicken with my head cut off! lol

The latest project is I finally got a new engine for the Firebird. So now I have to resurrect that thing from the depths of hell. Also known as my parents back yard. (Parking a car over dirt for 4-5 years is second only to parking it on the beach. I'm afraid to look under it...)

It will be nice to finally drive that thing again… It’s one of those things that I said to myself, “Self… I’m not going to get rid of this… ever…” I think I was smoking pot when is said that. That’s the only explanation I can come up with right now as to why I’d say something that ridiculous. lol

Well at least you still have it, I would love to still have my bright red 91 Firebird on days like today. Pop out the tops and head to the beach. AHHH.

Now my bright red vehicle is a Chevy Venture decked out with car seats and radio disney[;)]

It's an `84. I bought it for $150 with a blown 2.8. Blown as in a holw in the side of the block and 2 connecting rods poking out...

I put a 305cid with a T5 (5-speed) in it and painted it, twice, changed the interior, swapped the rear end to disk breaks, put 3 tranies in it... the list goes on...

Like I said, it was my first car and I beat the ever-loving-snot out of that thing! Get pieved about a girl... Go roast the tires... with a cold engine... exiting my driveway sideways... and proceding up the road about 100feet... sideways. Don't let off the gas even to shift.
