Spice Mines of Kessel MR Vader ESB

Here is the fourth in my "Spice Mines of Kessel" series, this time a Vader ESB. For those of you who don't know much about this series, the backstory is that the saber was somehow lost on Kessel during a battle, and somehow ended up in the Spice Mines, where it sat and stewed for long period of time before it was found by a Force sensitive slave, who repaired the saber and escaped. Of course, with limited resources to repair the saber, it wasn't going to look pretty, just functional enough to get to freedom. I took great liberty to make this hilt look as battered and re-thrown together as I could, without going too overboard. I love making sabers like this, without a care in the world as far as keeping it pristine. It duels very well, as I just used it tonight in our town's annual Lights On Parade, where myself and my school's demo team set our saber's ablaze with some really cool dueling performances (but that's another thread ;) ). This saber is a soundless stunt.

Mesh pommel insert
5W LedEngine Red LED (a nice crimson color)

Cool ;) I should do something like this with my busted up Vader ESB (I messed up the clamp when trying to repair the soundboard in it).

What's not to love, Caine?
Love the grips, the Ledengin, blinky bubblestrip, weathering...

And I also love how the bladeholder is seen as clean through the holes up top, as if it was a replaced part as in the backstory. Awesome :D
