This is a re-do of a saber that I had previously built for my nephew earlier this year: http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=23300.0

What was I thinking?

Anyways, the saber had mysteriously died (the board failed) and I used this as the perfect opportunity to give this a much needed overahaul.

Oh well, with time comes experience. I think this one is much better. I reused most all the parts except for the 6 inch sink tube, and replaced the Piece O' Garbage Force Action board with a new 2010 Economy Obi

-All Parts 3 coats of paint with triple protection baked epoxy clear coat
-Lux III Amber (used to be a Lux III white with color change discs. Since Riley kept an orange filter in all the time anyway, this was a better fit)
-Faux crystal chamber with a flashing 5mm amber LED in the ribbed extension
-2010 Hasbro Obi Economy board
-Reverse sound
-Recessed switch in the ribbed section a la Jay-Gon

I'm always a fan of the rebuild and sounds as if you have not just fixed, but improved upon it without sacrificing its original style.. very good job!!

Love it!
I liked the ripped weathering, but this is cool also. And good riddance to the force action
