I finally have the first rendition of the Carolina Saber Academy up and running. It is open to everyone to enjoy. I welcome all constructive suggestions and input from all members of these forums. Master Naashar it is I who am honored by your contributions to minor efforts in bringing knowledge to those who seek it. Indeed I am honored by all of my Jedi brethern who seek to share their experience and knowledge.

The CSA site is for love of the craft. That is why it exists, to allow all of us to share our understanding of the way of the Lightsaber. The joining of the Academy is simply to show that the student is willing to dedicate themselves to a semi-formalized study program.

The various levels must be earned because that which is not earned has no value. This is going to be FUN!

Well, buddy, here are my thoughts on the matter. This Academy is for those who are about swordplay for the sake of swordplay; there are a number of us belonging to the Academy who are decidedly Jedi, and it is my hope that some of the more..biased of the philosophies will be put aside, at least whilst training. A thought on Force users.

Our Lightsaber training class is open to Jedi, Grey or Shadow Jedi, and non-aligned FORCE users.

The reasoning for that is we have a nuetral place to train with lightsabers. There is no distinction in our eyes regarding alignment. Rules in the class apply to all. We do have a Master's Council, which consists of 5 Masters who can be of any class.

Trials can be oriented by the Master hosting the candidate for advancement. We have had Jedi and Shadow Jedi trials. Most of the Sith indicate that they do not require trials and advance by defeating thier Masters. In a real universe, this would mean killing them.

Our class or Academy if it could be called such is NUETRAL and all are welcome here to train in safety. No aggression or predudice is allowed. I recommend adoption of similar lines for your academy.

I am at your service, should you need advice or if there is anything else I can do.

Master Zhi Don, welcome to the Counsel and thank you for both your praise and your dedication of time to the Academy. We have a well rounded High Counsel, Masters of all age groups and varied backgrounds. I look forward to learning much from my fellow Masters and Students.

Countdown, Masters Zhi Don and Naashar are correct. While I designed the webpage to emphasize the Jedi Philosophy, you may consider yourself a Sith if that is your desire. While attending the academy, you will be expected to treat your fellow students, Jedi Knights, and Masters in accordance with the Jedi way. We don't promote students to Sith Lords, however Sith usually tend not to have an Academy in the first place. The main purpose of the Academy is to promote the art of the Lightsaber not to push a philosophical agenda down anyone's throat.

All Students, I need an Avatar to post on the website if you haven't already sent me one. I will also post an e-mail address if that is your desire. I have the ability to set up a forum similar to this one, if that is the wish of the Masters and Padawans.

The Bulletin Board is set up and running on the CSA main page. I have named it the hololink. Master Naashar will be the Moderator, as soon as Tech support for the hosting service fixes that bug with the database. In the interim, jump on in.

As a reward for Students who achieve the Jedi Knight status, all Jedi Knights and above will be given a fully functional e-mail account. It will be along the lines of mine mastermorelkesav@carolinasaberacademy.org except it will have the name of the Jedi's choice.

There are some proposed changes to clarify the promotion system within the academy. I have put them there pending the approval of the High Counsil. All Students need to complete lessons one & two. Younglings will send them to me forwarding to the Counsil and Padawans will send them to their Masters. How fast you complete the lessons is up to you, but you cannot advance until you complete the lessons. If you have any questions, contact your Master or any member of the Counsil.

Yeah, I've been running into that problem all day. Tech support says that the site is fine and it must be on MY computer. Now I have additional information to send them on this issue. I have found this issue on every computer in my house and it shows up on the computers of my friends. The only computer it DOESN'T show up on is Tech Support's computer. I'll keep hammering away until it is fixed.

Greetings, although still on my current mission [to aid in my wife's recovery], I wanted to let you know that I will be posting on our boards as frequently as I am able. I have been having communication problems [can't log on to the website], and I request assistance.

Part of my current task has be to establish an academy here in Naboo [Southern California] To that end I have changed my Lightsaber Training Class to the Orange County Saber Academy.

For those Masters who hold a seat on the CSA High Counsel and a Seat on another Saber Academy's council, I would like us to sign a "Sister Academy" pack where in we use the same rules and share training methods with each other, even put a member from all academys on each others boards.

That would go towards making us a nationwide force that can gather and share an impressive core coricullum of lightsaber techniques and knowledge. It would improve all of us.

Oh for goodness sakes. The CSA if just a group of us that like to have fun with working on using the lightsaber as a way to get off the couch and do something. While we may kinda interact "in character" the bottom line is all about fun.

Please don't take it all that serious. Last time I checked none of us are really Jedi :wink: :P

With that said if you are interested in joining up and having some fun trying not to break a lamp swinging that thing around the house then come on over and give it a go.

Well I can attest that you should not bring the light sabers out at a party after a college football game. :evil: Especially if you have one person trained to use weapons and one that isn't and both are a little inebriated. I got 4 kills in just a few mins. :lol:
